I am from the United States, from the South West desert, Arizona. Right now it is beautiful. The weather is gorgeous, in the 80′s. That is not always the case, the summers get extremely hot 110+ degrees.

How do you celebrate Christmas?
Our family celebrates Christmas together. We usually go to friends house for Christmas Eve, then on Christmas day our family gets together and pretty much just hangs out together all day. We have tamales and green chili burritos as our meal….and lots of cookies afterwards….

I’m Julee Drain, and this shop is a co-effort with my friend, and jewelry crafting partner, Desiree Bigard.
Here at Peacock Tres Chic we make handmade jewelry.
Everything is a bit on the fancy, opulent side. We enjoy the styles of Steampunk, neo-victorian, and mostly anything where you’re allowed to go over the top.

We are from Michigan. The state shaped like a mitten and surrounded by Great Lakes.
Winter can be brutal around here, so it’s a good time of the year to just sit around and work on our jewelry over a nice cup of hot cocoa.

As for most, the holidays are just a time we like to be around family, give gifts, and essentially celebrate the spirit of the season.

“I use mostly vintage fabrics, sourced from old dresses, curtains, off-cuts and whatever else I can get my hands on. I like to complement these finds with a variety of modern fabrics.”

Tell us a bit about your craft and what you sell.
I design and make a variety of bags, including handbags/totes, clutch purses, wristlets, knitting/crochet project bags (with matching needle holders), pouches and makeup bags. Each bag is crafted with care and attention from my own design. I use mostly vintage fabrics, sourced from old dresses, curtains, off-cuts and whatever else I can get my hands on. I like to compliment these finds with a variety of modern fabrics. I also use fine soft leather and suede sourced from one of the top London leather suppliers (which was established in 1938 and stocks every colour imaginable!). My bags are fully lined with either satin or printed cottons.

I live in South East London, England. I enjoy living here because it is conveniently close to the city centre, culturally diverse and relatively cheap. Also, I live in walking distance of some lovely parkland, which is high enough to give a panorama (great for photos). My local town centre is a little rough and ready, but has an excellent market with bargains galore and a fantastic fabric shop.

How do you celebrate Christmas?
I celebrate Christmas Day with my family, which always involves an incredibly early start for the benefit of my young nieces. Obviously we give and receive gifts (I try to hand make all of mine), then we see local family members and enjoy a huge meal. Once I am able to move again, I travel to my boyfriend’s parents’ house for their traditional crazy New Year fancy dress party. His parents are fortunate to live very close to the Lake District which is an incredibly beautiful part of the UK. We try to go rambling to burn off some of the Christmas excess…

My oilcloth flock-style wash bags. The material is both practical and stylish, the pattern and colours really striking. I’ve been working as a full time professional artist for over 15 years. I work in various mediums… painting, photography, and fiber arts. On Etsy I mainly sell my paintings, but I also sell my hand knitted items like scarves and neck warmers, etc.

I’m from Los Angeles, California. There is lots to see and do here… plenty of arts, live theatre, music and other cultural events. The mountains, desert, and beach are all close by for those who enjoy the outdoors. That and the nice weather make it a crowded place to live – but it’s always interesting here in L.A.

How do you celebrate Christmas?
We usually have a small get together, family and a few close friends.

Tell us a bit about your craft and what you sell. How did you get into upcycling clothing?
Pierogi Picnic is a line of handmade upcycled clothing for men and women that combines classic cuts with an urban edge. All of the items are made by me in my Chicago studio and are crafted out of pre-existing garments that I gather from second hand stores. Using salvaged materials alleviates my company’s carbon footprint while adding a bit of history to every garment.

I am a city girl in every way. I was born and raised in Chicago, spent my late adolescence in New York City, and absolutely love urban environments. I think it may seem counter intuitive to other eco-entrepreneurs, but living in the city provides me with a lifestyle that alleviates the need for a car, as well as a constant flow of inspiration. I just finished reading the book “Green Metropolis,” which centers around the idea that cities can in fact be more eco-friendly than suburban and country living.

How do you celebrate Christmas?
My family and I resolved to bring value back to Christmas by focusing more on the reason for the season, and not consumer gluttony. It saddens me that Christmas has moved away from being a spiritual reflection and has instead become a capitalist’s dream come true. For this reason, my husband and I have implemented a controlled gift giving tradition in our family. For the past few years we create categories for our gift giving to eliminate unnecessary spending. Last year we were limited to one gift from Etsy, one gift under $50, one handmade item, and something edible. It makes gift hunting more fun while not loosing focus on why we celebrate.

What is your favourite item in your shop? Who do you think this would make a great Christmas present for?
It’s hard to pick just one item from my shop. It seems that every time I sift through the pages I have a different favorite! In terms of gift giving I love my upcycled flower buds that come as headbands, pins, or hair clips. They’re fun, elegant, and versatile, which makes them great for a woman of any age. I recently wrapped up a gift for a friend and used it to embellish the packaging. So there’s truly so many different ways to use them!

I send out items withing three days of the transaction’s completing, so it really depends where the buyer lives. If buying from the U.S. for Christmas, the latest a person should purchase is the 15th. I would encourage international shoppers to make their selections by the 10th.

Tell us a bit about your craft and what you sell.
I am a professional seamstress, and sell quality made zipper pouches, wristlets, plushies, and more. All of my wristlets and pouches include a cute lining on the inside, and zipper open. I’m always trying to improve things and design new creations! When I was younger my aunt taught me how to sew, and i’ve been hooked ever since!

I’m from Pennsylvania. I love where i’m at, and would not want to live in a better place. The seasons are so pretty here. Fall is my favorite time of year, all the leaves change colors and it’s great! It’s also very nice that two major cities, NYC and Philly are within an hour of driving distance!

How do you celebrate Christmas?
Every Christmas I get together with family, and on Christmas eve we all go to my Grandmas house and exchange presents with relatives. I love the time leading up to Christmas, and preparing for everything!

I am mainly a needle felter, I take raw unspun fleece and sculpt it into 3D felt animal sculptures by stabbing it thousands of times with a barbed needle, this causes the fibres in the fleece to mesh together creating a solid felt.
My most popular items are custom sculptures of peoples pets, I can felt in a little of the dogs own fur into the sculpture to make it a great keepsake of a pet at the rainbow bridge.

How do you celebrate Christmas?
My family is quite small so I just usualy take the two dogs up to mums, we have a lazy morning swapping gifts then a nice country walk for the dogs then home for a lovely homemade dinner. Then afternoon phoning friends, watching TV and playing with the dogs. A nice easy day

Molly was a dog a lady I know resued from horrible conditions, she turned out to be a gentle giant and returned the love she was given 100%, but after a week it was found she had a tumour and had to be put to sleep, that lovely big dog touched all our hearts. The listing is for a custom sculpture of a dog (of course Molly is with her rescuer) which would be a great gift for any dog lover.

The other listing is as a thankyou to the wonderful rescue that saved my lovely Mia from certain death in an Irish pound and sent her over here to me. They try and save as many dogs as they can but of course funds are always a problem so this listing is for a collage of images of before and afters of some of the dogs they have saved. No matter how matted the fur, how much the bones show the biggest difference in all the images is just seeing the joy return to their eyes. So this listing is another great gift for a dog lover as it helps save even more dogs

As I am from Scotland shipping internationaly takes up to about two weeks and each sculpture takes between two days to a week to create so depending on demand but its best to place orders before Dec 1st – although I will try and move heaven and earth for a special item

I sell handmade jewelry. Right now I have mostly necklaces in my shop, but I sell bracelets and earrings too. Each necklace is designed by me and totally unique. I rarely, if ever, make the same piece twice and even then are differences. My jewelry is appealing to women of all ages. Young girls would find it fashionable, while older women could wear it too. (My grandma has been one of my best customers and strongest supporters!)

I am from Lehi, Utah, USA. It’s beautiful here. I am surrounded by mountains on all sides. Right now the leaves are changing and every where I look I see the majestic colors of autumn. I am in awe as I drive home from work each day at the beauty that surrounds me.
How do you celebrate Christmas?
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas! I celebrate all month long (and sometimes I cheat and start listening to Christmas music as early as October). My husband and I cut down our own tree, put up lights, make gingerbread houses, attend concerts, and spend a lot of time with our family that lives near by.

My favorite item in my shop is the “Golden Delicious” butterfly necklace. I just love it so much that I had to make myself a necklace using the same pendant. This would make a perfect gift for any woman. It’s inexpensive, yet beautiful and appealing and would make her feel special. Almost every time I wear my similar necklace I receive multiple compliments on it.

My shipping deadline for Christmas is as close to the day that the person dares order something. I would suggest placing your order by December 19th for Christmas delivery – earlier for international orders.
